Mukhtar Sirajo Leads NIPR Exco to Condole Customs’ Boss Over Mother-in-Law’s Death
The National President and Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Governing Council, Mallam Mukhtar Zubairu Sirajo, has described the death of Alhaja Nimota Akolade as an irreparable loss.
Alhaja Akplade, who was the mother-in-law of Adewale Bashir Adeniyi, the Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), died on 11th of July 2023.
PRNigeria reports that Sirajo, on Tuesday, led Fellows of the Council and senior members of NIPR on a condolence visit to the family of the Acting Customs’ boss.
While urging Adeniyi and his family to take solace in the reality that Alhaja Akolade led a peaceful and fulfilling life, the NIPR President: “The loss of a beloved one is not a small issue. We share in the grief and pain of this family.
“We take solace in the fact that the Almighty God that took Mama did not do injustice. Her time has come just like the time of each and everyone of us will come.
“We are glad and happy for Mama, that she lived a good life, in the service of Allah and humanity. I plead with you to accept Mama’s demise just like we accepted it as the will of God. And continue to pray for the repose of the soul of Mama,” Sirajo said.
Top PR practioners Dr. Sule Yau Sule and Dr Ike Neliaku also offered Muslim and Christian prayers during the condolence visit.
Meanwhile, the funeral rites on the deceased was performed at Abuja Central Mosque before she was finally laid to rest at Muslim Section of Gudu Cemetery, Apo Abuja.
