NPRW: Finally, NIPR Endorses Akwa Ibom to Host 2nd Nigeria PR Week in April 2025
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has officially announced that its Akwa Ibom State chapter will host the second Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) in April 2025.
Dr. Ike Neliaku, the President of NIPR, made this announcement at the closing ceremony of Maiden NPRW in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event and emphasized the importance of promoting excellence in public relations practice across Nigeria.
During his address, Dr. Neliaku also commended Ogun State Government and the chapter for contributing to the success of the week-long event. He also the commended the outstanding contributions of Dr. Fassy Yusuf, a Veteran PR practitioner and former Commissioner of Information in the state for his dedication and exceptional performance which significantly impacted the development of public relations in the country.
Furthermore, the president extended his appreciation to the organizers of the PR week event. Their unwavering commitment and meticulous planning that were instrumental in the success of the program’s inaugural edition.
Dr. Neliaku also took a moment to recognize other veteran and PR experts who attended the event, showcasing their passion for the field despite their advanced age.
PRNigeria reports that annual NPRW brings together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts in the field of public relations and communication to exchange knowledge, discuss industry trends, and foster collaboration.
Apart from the capacity building, the NIPR, will Hosts its Annual General Meeting on Thursday to be followed by a lively “OWANBE” program—an evening of relaxation and celebration to mark the end of this dynamic week in the world of public relations.
