NIPR President to Address ALC Inductees in Abuja
The President and Chairman of Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Dr. Ike Neliaku is billed to participate as a Keynote Speaker at the forthcoming Abuja Leadership Centre (ALC) induction ceremony at the University of Abuja.
Founded in January 2021, the ALC instituted at the University of Abuja is a TETFund Centre of Excellence in Public Governance and Leadership, which seeks to enhance public governance and leadership across Nigeria and beyond.
The induction ceremony of the postgraduate students of Public Governance and Leadership Programme of the centre scheduled to hold on Friday, 20th October, 2023 at the Faculty of Law Auditorium of the university is the third in the series.
Dr. Neliaku, an astute campaigner of good governance is to deliver lecture on the topic, “Leadership And Politics: Towards A Paradigm Shift For Africa”.
In a letter of invitation as Keynote Speaker, the Director of the Centre and Deputy Vice Chancellor Admin, Prof. Philip Afaha, said the presentation is expected to inspire 150 Masters and Doctoral students/inductees of the Abuja Leadership Centre of the University of Abuja; while noting that 500 persons comprising Diplomats, Government functionaries, youth groups, civil society, the University community and the invited public are the estimated audience for the event.
“It is also hoped that your presentation will provoke solutions to our national questions as the nation approaches a critical period of her development”, Prof. Afaha stated.
The ceremony which will be chaired by AVM Mohammed Umaru, former governor of Kwara State will have the Vice Chancellor of University of Abuja, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah as the Chief Host with other eminent Nigerians as special guests.
Recall that weeks before his election in August, Dr. Neliaku was in Israeli capital, Jerusalem, at the African Leadership Summit where he spoke on, “Unlocking Africa’s Potential Through Business and Entrepreneurship: A Path to Sustainable Economic Growth and Development.”
The summit brought together entrepreneurs, policymakers, and leaders of thought from across the African continent.
