BEEC Hosts 17th International PR Congress in Lagos
The Business Education Examinations Council (BEEC) has hosted the 17th International Public Relations Congress in Lagos.
The theme of the Congress was “Re-Building Trust, Mutual Understanding and Harmony for National Development.”
The congress which was endorsed by professional bodies in the communication industry, attracted participants, mostly heads of Corporate Communications, public Affairs, and communication professionals from African countries.
The refreshing 3-days programme was described as highly engaging and interactive.
Top speakers at the event included the Comptroller General of the customs service, Mr. Adewale Adeniyi; the Director General of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Ifedayo Adetifa; immediate past President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations NIPR, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo and Past President of African Public Relations Association (APRA) Yomi Badejo-Ogunsanya.
Also in attendance was Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, the past president of Nigerian Employers Consultative Association (NECA), past chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit and former managing director of Pfizer Nigeria.
