PHOTOS: Women Group Endorses Ike Neliaku for NIPR President
The former President of National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Mrs Moji Makanjuola, has thrown her weight behind Dr. Ike Neliku a presidential candidate for the forthcoming 2023 election of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Leading a group of women in communication to the unveiling of Neliaku’s agenda for NIPR in Abuja, Mrs Makunjuola said the candidate possessed the pedigree to lead the institute to greater height.
Moji Makanjuola (MFR), a veteran broadcast journalist and a pioneer member of the Center for Diseases Control (CDC) in USA said having worked with Neliaku at the presidential villa she could testify to his competence, capacity, emotional intelligence and humane nature in managing different interests.
She said: “We are elated to endorse a result-oriented, highly creative, courteous and respectful candidate that we can proudly present to the world.
“I am highly impressed with the 9-point agenda our candidate unveiled because they speak to what we need to do, moving forward.
Moji Makanjuola (MFR), who is a media consultant to UN Women, and the chief executive officer of Bronz and Onyx, an integrated marketing communications and strategy company said Nigeria required rebranding through activities of reputation managers.
“If you travel regularly, you might suffered bad image impression in foreign lands. Everyone of us might have suffered some humiliation at some point for being Nigerians.
“I’m therefore glad that the next President of NIPR will find an ally with the new Minister of Information, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi who is not only a professional communicator too but a respected Fellow of NIPR.
“I pray God will endow Neliaku with wisdom to be able to lead us and help us engendered a new, prosperous and better Nigeria. Rest assured, our pool of expertise and extensive networks shall be deployed to ensure your emergence as NIPR president.
Present at the endorsement included the current President of NAWOJ, Ms. Ladi Bala, FCT NIPR Chapter Chairperson, Mrs Maryam Sanusi, multilinguist PR practitioner, Mrs Olubunmi Badejo among other women in communication.
The Director General of Ike Neliaku Campaign Team, Brig General Sani Usman Kukasheka (Rtd), also a Fellow of NIPR expressed gratitude for the tremendous supports and endorsements of the candidate.
General Kukasheka also expressed appreciation to other guests at the unveiling who came from various states including Elder Emmanuel Ogidi and others that join virtually.
A Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), Mrs Makanjuola is an executive director of the International Society of Media in Public Health (ISMP).
