NIPR FCT Chapter Organises Dinner to Celebrate Newly Elected President
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, on Wednesday, organised dinner to express gratitude to its members for turning up at the recent National AGM/Conference and Elections of the Institute.
The event, Spokespersons Digest gathered was meant to foster unity and togetherness among members.
Mrs. Maryam Sanusi, the Chairperson of the Chapter, thanked members who participated in the elections.
Sanusi emphasised that the dinner wasn’t just about celebration, but also to strengthen relationships among members.
“As communicators and relationship builders, we view this as an opportunity to mend any differences and work together,” she said.
She acknowledged that post-election disagreements can arise, but stressed the importance of staying united.
“This gathering shows that, despite the fact that we all have different choices of candidates, we are still one cohesive body,” she stated.
She acknowledged Dr. Ike Neliaku’s victory as the new National President and Chairman governing council as a member from her chapter.
Sanusi applauded Neliaku’s initial steps and hoped for better inter-chapter connections, especially with the Lagos State chapter and other chapters.
On his part, Dr. Neliaku pledged to strengthen inter-chapter relationships by fostering closer ties with the other state chapters to resonate positivvity among the member a cross nation.
He said FCT NIPR Chapter has demonstrated commitment to togetherness and reinforced the spirit of the public relations community, showing strenght in the face of challenges and paving way for a more united future in the profession.
