Civil society organisations (CSOs) and the media have vowed to promote Criminal Justice Administration in Jigawa State for enhancement of rule of law and social justice.
The groups made the declaration during three days training and launching of a team for the campaign which was supported by CLEEN Foundation held in Dutse, the state capital.
The media and civil society organisations were constituted to promote administration of criminal justice law in Jigawa State.
Speaking at the launching of the team, the communications and media officer of the foundation, Anna White Agbo said, the team is expected to work with state actors and other stakeholders towards achieving its targeted goals.
She noted that it was observed that there are many challenges hampering full and effective implementation of criminal justice law in Jigawa State and Nigeria in general.
She added that without justice the society can’t enjoy peace and progress, therefore working around promoting administration of criminal justice law and social justice is a collective responsibility of every good citizen.
