He is redefining journalism, he is making a point, and above all, he has situated Arewa on the map of journalism excellence. His name is Abdulaziz Abdulaziz -the Kano born pen maverick. He stormed the journalistic scene with a bang , since then , he has remained stoic in value and reference.
Defined by infectious humility , he wears the cap of diligence and exudes unrivaled brilliance. No story he touches that doesn’t invoke interest- he practices journalism of impact. Inarguably, one of the best in Nigeria – represents the aspiration of many young Nigerians.
Last night, he won yet again, the Wole Soyinka Investigative Reporting award for broadcast category. Remember the story on the north and bandits? Abdulaziz did that story that didn’t only show the intricacies of the crime fiefdom but unsettled the security echelon. In recognition of that daring adventure, Abdulaziz stands today in
honor.
