Kano to host NIPR Zonal Citizens Summit in October
The North West Zone of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Citizens Summit for National integration, peace and security, is to hold on October 14th, 2021.
It was reported by newsmen that NIPR resolves to convene a Citizens Summit for National Integration, Peace and Security, aimed at providing a credible platform for initiating national cohesion, peacebuilding and reconciliation in the country.
According to NIPR, the summit became pertinent due to challenges facing the nation from banditry, terrorism, secessionist agenda, inter and intra ethnic conflicts and other forms of criminality that have widen the trust gap, deepen disaffection and fueling misunderstanding among the various component unit of the nation.
The summit is expected to hold across the 6 geo-political zones of the country and the national conference will hold in Abuja.
The northwest zonal Coordinator of the summit planning committee, Dr Sule Ya’u Sule on Thursday announced the date for the zonal summit scheduled to hold in Kano.
