Ondo NIPR charges Deji of Akure To Encourage Peaceful Coexistence
The Ondo State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has charged the newly appointed Ondo State Chairman of the Council of Obas, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, the Deji of Akure to use his office to promote peaceful coexistence among the inhabitants of the state.
This call was made in a press release by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Ondo chapter, signed by the Chairman, Lamidi Ishola and the Secretary, Sunday Omosule.
According to the release, “NIPR understands that the appointment was not a coincidence but a result of sincerity, excellence, dedication and commitment illustrated in running the affairs of his domain and his passion for the development of the sunshine state.”
The NIPR commended the efforts of the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, for finding the Deji of Akure worthy of the position, especially now when synergy between the government and traditional institutions is needed to curb the incessant increase in insecurity across the country.
However, they encouraged the King to use his office to galvanise the support of his council for the present administration to drive improvement and tackle challenges threatening peaceful coexistence in the state.
More so, the public relations body pledged its maximum support for the king.
