Gov Fintiri, NUJ morn Veteran Journalist, Abdulaziz
Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon Ahmadu Fintiri and e Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Adamawa chapter mourned over the demise of its member, Ibrahim Abdulaziz.
Ibrahim Abdulaziz died on Friday in a car crash around Alkaleri, Bauchi State, on the Gombe – Bauchi road.
The late Abdulaziz was a versatile journalist working with Voice of America (VOA) Hausa Service, Premium Times, and Gotel Communications, a radio/TV station with headquarters in the Adamawa State capital, Yola
He had previously worked for Daily Trust, Blueprint, and New Telegraph newspapers as well as FRCN Fombina FM.
Governor Fintiri, in a statement signed and passed to newsmen by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, expressed his personal condolences and that of the Government and all the people of Adamawa State to NUJ, the family of the deceased and his close associates.

“Abdulaziz’s death is coming at a time when the media industry can benefit more from his wealth of experience,” Governor Fintirri said.
He urged the family and friends of the deceased to draw courage and strength from Allah at this trying moment.
Abdulaziz was a famous journalist who mixed happily with his colleagues Thursday afternoon in Yola only for the colleagues to hear Friday afternoon that he was dead.
Most of the colleagues did not know that he was tarvelling out of Adamawa State that fateful Friday.
