NIPR to Host Maiden Online Memorial Paper on Crisis Communication
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to host a maiden online event of its annual Sam Epelle Memorial Gold Paper lecture on Wednesday, 10th of December 2020.
This year’s zoom webinar lecture is tagged: ‘Fear or Fury: Interrogating the role of Nigerian Broadcast Media in Crisis Communication.
The lecture would be delivered by the Director General National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Prof. Aduku Armstrong Idachaba.
The professional institute says the lecture is apt as it would examine the role played by Nigerian Broadcast Media in crisis situation while unveiling its importance and role in creating national unity and remodelling of public opinions due to the widespread access to the mass media.
Meanwhile, the event is free and open to all members of the institute.
NIPR is a professional institute that has the power to register members, regulate the practice and development of PR profession and monitor professional conducts.
The institute conducts professional certificate and diploma examinations every year to produce professional in PR. They also offer in-house trainings, media management.
