NASRDA Boss Commends NIPR on Professionalism
The Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Matthew Adepoju has applauded the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations for its professional excellence towards national development.
Dr. Adepoju made the commendation when he played host to a delegation of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations on a courtesy visit at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Adepoju emphasized the importance of the unique roles of public relations officers in all areas of human endeavors and encouraged members of the profession to continue their valuable work, urging them not to waver in delivering high-quality services.
The NASRDA Boss congratulated members of the professional body on their upcoming annual conference and reaffirmed NASRDA’s support for their initiative.
Earlier, the Head of the delegation from the FCT chapter of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mr. Edward Adebanjo, expressed gratitude to the Director General for the warm reception accorded the visiting team.
He explained that the purpose of their visit was to formally invite the Director General to Chair the 2024 Annual Conference and General Meeting of the professional association scheduled for next month .
Mr Adebanjo noted that the conference, themed “Leadership and Economic Transformation,” aims to explore the link between effective leadership and economic growth.
According to him, the basis for the choice of the Director General as chairman of the Annual Conference is in recognition of his transformative leadership and commitment to socio-economic development.
Also speaking, the Director of Media and Corporate Communications Department of the Agency Dr. Felix Ale, announced that on his recommendation, the Director General has authorized the training of all media staff of the Agency by next year which will also include their induction as accredited members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Dr. Ale who thanked the NASRDA Boss for the initiative, said the gesture is the first of its kind and outstanding in the history of the Space Agency.
Highlights of the event was the exchange of gift items by both parties.
