Abia NIPR, Due Process Bureau Partner to Promote Ethical Governance
The Abia State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has intensified efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and promote ethical governance following a courtesy visit by its Executive Committee to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process and Head of the Due Process and Procurement Bureau, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, in Umuahia.
The visit, according to the Institute, formed part of ongoing engagements aimed at deepening relationships with key stakeholders and advancing professionalism, accountability, and good governance across the state.
Leading the delegation, the Chairman of NIPR Abia State Chapter, Onyinye Ralph-Nwachukwu, commended Dr. Chukwu for his commitment to due process, transparency, and ethical leadership in public service.
She noted that the activities of the Due Process and Procurement Bureau remain critical to strengthening public trust and enhancing the credibility of government institutions.
Ralph-Nwachukwu also described Dr. Chukwu, a member of the Institute, as a worthy ambassador of the values of professionalism and excellence upheld by NIPR, adding that his achievements in public office continue to reflect positively on the profession.
The Chapter further appreciated his support for NIPR activities, particularly his contribution as a guest lecturer during the Chapter’s 2026 International Women’s Day celebration.
The delegation also commended Dr. Chukwu’s collaborative leadership style and reaffirmed the Institute’s readiness to work closely with the Bureau in promoting ethical governance, strategic communication, and institutional credibility.
Responding, Dr. Chukwu congratulated the Chapter Chairman on what he described as her strategic and purposeful leadership, assuring the Institute of his continued personal and institutional support throughout her tenure.
He also praised the administration of Governor Alex Otti for prioritising good governance and appointing professionals into critical positions in government.
Delivering the vote of thanks, the Internal Auditor of the Chapter, Cletus Nwankwo, expressed appreciation to Dr. Chukwu for the warm reception and for exemplifying professionalism and excellence in public service.
Other members of the delegation included the Vice-Chairman, Oluchi Ikechukwu; Assistant Secretary, Victor Onwuka; Treasurer, Onyinye Obi; and Ex-Officio members, Chinkwe Ikenyi and O.J. Bob Amanze.
